Every day, these men descends into the heart of the ghetto and ministers to societies’ most forgotten, the sick, the mentally and physically disabled, abandoned children and elderly and victims of HIV – AIDS, bringing the light of Christ in the heart of darkness.
Candles in the Dark tells the life and story of Fr. Richard Ho Lung & the Missionaries of the Poor. From a humble beginning, relying on faith alone and solely guided by the Word of God. Fr. Richard Ho Lung embarked on a Mission of Joyful Service to societies’ most forgotten and abandoned that will eventually lead to the founding of the Missionaries of the Poor.
Men and women hungering for a radical change and with a renewed vision in living out the Gospel of Christ, seeking to radiate the light of Christ in an era of great darkness.
